Westlake Garden Club High Tea

Westlake Garden Club will host a membership high tea at the historic Dover Farm. You will learn more about the garden club and hear about historic preservation in Westlake from Steve McQuillin. Everyone is welcome. Reservations required. 440-665-5463.

Group for children who need ongoing support related to cancer in a loved adult family member. This workshop meets the first and third Wednesday of every month from July 7 – September 15. Advance registration is required.

This three-part series addresses the needs of those who are finished with cancer treatment. Meet others who are adjusting to the “new normal” and discuss issues such as fear of recurrence, returning to work, changing relationships and long-term side effects of treatment. Participants are encouraged to attend all three sessions – 9/15, 9/22, 9/29. Advanced registration required.

Learn about the Local History and Special Collections of Cleveland State University's Library

Bill Barrow, Archivist and Special Collections Librarian at CSU will be the invited speaker at the September 15th meeting of the Cuyahoga West Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society.
Mr. Barrow knows a good deal about Cleveland and the Western Reserve of northeastern Ohio and has made it possible for others to access that info on-line. These resources may be very useful in researching your family history.

The WBV Observer is holding an information night for all members of the community who would like to learn more about their community newspaper.
The program is divided into three sections:
- 6:30 p.m.: Overview of the WBV Observer and citizen journalism.
- 7:00 p.m.: Step-by-step demo of the online content submission process
- 7:30 p.m.: Open Q&A
All citizens of Westlake and Bay are encouraged to attend. Learn how YOU can participate in this community effort!
