Rucking for Refugees Fundraiser

Rucking is wearing a backpack with heavy objects when you do activities, like carrying a log, walking or hiking. Participants should wear a backpack with 5-10 pounds in it (one or two wrapped bricks) and bring a water bottle. Minors must have a chaperone. $5 donation will be used to buy food for the holidays for refugees living in Lakewood.

Backyard Wonders: Wild Turkey
3:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Introducing a new series of programs led by our expert wildlife staff. Join us as we get in-depth about relevant, seasonal topics and explore how they may affect you in northeast Ohio. Each session includes time for questions, answers and discussion.
Together we’ll take an in-depth look at the Wild Turkey – exploring its life through the seasons, learning to fly at less than a week, how it almost become the National bird, subspecies and more. There’s a lot to learn about this backyard wonder and you’re sure to leave with some great Thanksgiving trivia!
For adults and families with children ages 10+. Fee: $7 per person.
