"Downsizing Your Possessions"

The Bay Village Women's Club is sponsoring Dee Mele, owner of "Home Again Transitions," who will present a program about the proven strategies to reduce clutter in your home. If downsizing or anticipating a move, learn a plan to reduce the stress of what can be an overwhelming task. Everyone is welcome. The event is free and no reservations are necessary.

Scientist ≠ Man: A Candid Discussion

“Women in Science and Technology” will be the focus of a new speaker series debuting in April at Tri-C in Westlake.

The second lecture, "Scientist ≠ Man: A Candid Discussion" will be presented by Tri-C professors Dr. Paula Allotta (Chemistry), Dr. Anne Distler (Chemistry), Dr. Terri Pope (Biology), and Dr. Beth Vaidya (Biology).

The series includes four free Thursday night programs at Tri-C’s Corporate College West, located at 25425 Center Ridge Road in Westlake. The programs will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. in Room 305.

At each presentation, speakers from the College and community will share information and perspectives on women working in the fields of science and technology. Each program will conclude with a question-and-answer session.

SkyQuest: A Planetary Passage
7:30 PM - 8:30 PM
On May 9, Mercury will appear to move across the face of the Sun – something that has not been visible on earth for almost ten years. Prepare for this rare celestial event, learn what NASA’s MESSENGER spacecraft has shared with us about Mercury and discuss future exploration of this fascinating planet.

This program is followed by a look at what's up in the current night sky.

For pre-teens through adults. Tickets are $5/person. Advance registration is not required.
