President & CEO of Africa University to Speak

The community is invited to hear Dr. Munashe Furasa, Vice Chancellor/President and CEO of Africa University, speak about higher education on the African continent, its challenges, accomplishments and hopes in light of God's call to care for those in need.
Africa University, located in Zimbabwe, is focused on leadership development and its student body is drawn from 29 different African countries. Dr. Furusa took over leadership of Africa University in July 2014 and has made fiscal accountability, the enhancement of the quality of student life, and support for academics his top priorities. Dr. Furusa is a first-generation college graduate and earned a master's and a doctoral degree.
Dr. Furusa will speak during the 8:15 a.m., 10 a.m. and 11:28 a.m. worship services. For more information, contact the church office at 440-871-3088 or visit westlakeumc.org.
