Women’s Retreat: “Radical Self Care in Turbulent Times”
5:00 PM
Learn how music, laughter, connection and love can lead you to inner peace. Join Unity Women Together for a women’s retreat entitled “Radical Self Care in Turbulent Times.” Located at Unity Spiritual Center, 23855 Detroit Road, Westlake, this event starts at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, July 18, and ends at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, July 20. It is not an overnight retreat, but help will be available to locate hotels for out-of-town guests. Women of all faiths and backgrounds are welcome to attend.

This retreat is for women of all ages who want to experience a renewal of their spirits, share the joy of feminine spiritual community, and rest from the utter busy-ness of life. Join in singing, chanting, and dancing to life-changing music. This retreat offers two evenings and two full days featuring Karen Drucker with presentations by Betsy Muller and Cheryle Costa.

Karen Drucker is a renowned singer, songwriter, author, and transformational women’s retreat creator. Karen has recorded 15 CDs of her original inspirational music and is the author of the motivating book “Let Go of the Shore: Stories and Songs That Set the Spirit Free.” Karen sings, speaks and leads workshops at women’s retreats, mind-body and health conferences, and at churches around the country. Karen Drucker has been called “a master of communicating presence and spirituality through music.” She has facilitated several women’s retreats at Unity Spiritual Center. We are pleased to welcome her back again this year.

Betsy Muller is a holistic coach who inspires and trains clients to work competently and ethically with a buffet of healing modalities. As an intuitive healer and accredited Master Trainer of Emotional Freedom Techniques, she integrates decades of conventional healthcare and business leadership with action steps to provide practical, cost-effective options for vibrant living, emotional health and proactive aging.

Cheryle Costa has spent the last 30 years as a food activist. She started the Pinnacle Natural Health & Healing Center that includes the Kitchen Underground Project, to share some of what she has learned. The kitchen was designed to help clients reverse disease, enjoy life more and learn new nutritional ways of eating to assist the body's own natural ability to heal. She will remind us that what we eat is having an impact on our health. Cheryle’s team will provide the food for the retreat and she will share some of her knowledge with the group.

The registration fee for this two day retreat is $199. Payment plans are available. The registration payment is non-refundable. The retreat includes six fresh, healthy meals with refreshments, and supplies for workshops and activities. Peaceful labyrinth walks, quiet reflection time, and an after-hours dance party will also on the agenda. Register online at uscwestlake.org/womens-retreat.
