Unity Spiritual Center Westlake Celebrates The Joy of the Christmas Season and the Beginning of the New Year

Unity Spiritual Center will celebrate the joy of the Christmas season and the beginning of the new year with candle lighting burning bowl services. All are welcome to attend.
On Christmas Eve, December 24th at 7:00 p.m. and again on Christmas Day at 10:00 a.m., Unity Spiritual Center will celebrate the joy of the Christmas season with candle lighting services. Candles signify love, prayer, passion and hope. The candle lighting service is a way for people to quietly reflect, pray together, or simply show support for one another.
On Sunday December 29th at 9:00 a.m. and again at 11:00 a.m., USC will celebrate the beginning of the new year with burning bowl services. Many Unity churches hold a Burning Bowl service at or near the New Year. This ceremony provides contemplative time to select ideas, thoughts, and habits that no longer serve one's highest good. It is used to release past negativity or pain. During a burning bowl ceremony, fire is portrayed as a powerful symbol of wisdom, knowledge, passion, and purification.
