Following is Westlake Porter Public Library’s May, 2010 Calendar of Events.

Monday, May 17 (7-8:30 p.m.) Monday Night Movie – A tale about the dedication of a dog who faithfully returned to a train station to meet his master, even years after the man’s death. Based on a Japanese story, and stars Richard Gere. Please register.

Tuesday, May 18 (7-8:30 p.m.) Mad4Manga – M4M is everything manga! We talk about manga, create manga art, discuss & watch anime films, and more! For teens in grades 6-12.

Monday, May 24 (1-7 p.m.) American Red Cross Bloodmobile

Monday, May 24 (7 p.m.) A Full Circle – Lakeview Cemetery’s Katherine Kohl will discuss the women who shaped the history of Cleveland. Co-sponsored by the Westlake Historical Society.

Tuesday, May 25 (6:30-8:30 p.m.) Teen Movie: "You Must Whip It" – Teens ages 13-18: Join us for a screening of the movie based on Shauna Cross’ novel "Derby Girl." Stars Drew Barrymore and Ellen Page. Rated PG-13. Please register starting May 18.

Wednesday, May 26 (2 p.m.) Afternoon Book Discussion – The May selection is "The Well and the Mine" by Gin Phillips.

Friday, May 28 (10 a.m.- 12 p.m.) Porter’s Fiber Fanatics – Socialize, share, and solve problems with fellow needle artists while you work on your current project.

Sunday, May 30 Library Closed on Sundays for the Summer starting today
