Fall happenings at the Bay library

The Bay Village Branch of the Cuyahoga County Public Library has a busy and exciting fall season planned for all ages and interests. Storytimes, specials, book discussions and speakers are only some of the programs that will be available.

Storytimes for all ages begin the week of September 20, with no registration needed. Snuggle Bugs for ages birth-30 months, Morning Movers for ages 1-3 years, Wednesday Wonders for ages 30 mos. to 5 years, Preschool for ages 3-5 years, and Friday Fun for ages birth-5 years are offered for our youngest customers and their caregivers. Also coming to the library is Touchdown for Reading! Get in the game this fall! Play the Touchdown for Reading online reading game for grades 4-8, but students of all ages are invited to participate. Presented in partnership with the Cleveland Browns. Visit cuyahogalibrary.org/touchdownforreading for details. Play the game from Sept. 7-November 20.

Wednesday, Sept. 1 (1:30 p.m.) Wednesday Afternoon Book Discussion

Thursday, Sept. 2 (7:30 p.m.) Thursday Evening Book Discussion

Wednesday, Sept. 15 (7 p.m.) Author John Tidyman – The author of "Gimme Rewrite Sweetheart: Tales from the Glory Days of Cleveland Newspapers" will talk about what it was like to be a newspaper reporter in Cleveland during its heyday. A book signing will follow the presentation. Sponsored by the Friends of the Bay Village Library.

CHILDRENS DEPARTMENT

Thursday Sept. 9 (7 p.m.) Girl Time – Girls in grades 2-3 are invited to spend a special evening with an adult female friend. We'll discuss a good book, share a snack, and try a fun project.
