State of the Schools presentation Oct. 11 at Bay Middle School

Bay Village Schools administrators will present a snapshot view of how the schools are doing at their State of the Schools presentation on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 7:15 p.m. at Bay Middle School. The public is invited to attend. The event is co-hosted by the Bay Village Kiwanis.

Topics covered will include student achievement scores, academic programs, athletics and activities, district-wide teaching strategies and initiatives, school-home communication, school operations and finances. A question-and-answer period will follow.

The fast-paced program has various school administrators presenting brief overviews of the different topics. The presentations will be videotaped and posted on the school district website, along with supporting documentation for those interested in more information.

“This format has been well received in the past,” said Clint Keener, superintendent of schools. “It is a great opportunity to let our community get to know not only information about our schools, but also to meet our administrative team as individuals.”

Keener said that the goal is to keep the actual presentation to one hour before questions are taken. He also expressed his appreciation to the Bay Village Kiwanis for planning one of their meetings to host the teachers and listen to the presentation. “As always, we know we can count on the Bay Village Kiwanis to work with us to the benefit of our students and community members,” he said.
