Thanksgiving is coming up, a time when you might be eating more than usual! What better way to even out all that feasting than getting involved in activities and programs at the Bay Village Recreation Department? Check out what we have going on and find something that will keep you moving through the start of the holiday season.
1st & 2nd Grade Basketball

The basketball season is fast approaching! Sign up now to learn the fundamentals in a fun, recreational environment. Deadline is Dec. 6.
Red Cross Babysitting
Ages 11-15
Sat. Dec. 3, 9:30 a.m.–4 p.m.
Bayway Cabin
This training prepares students with necessary tools to babysit responsibly. Includes safety, basic care/first aid and much more. Register now before class fills up! Bring a lunch, snack will be provided.
Preschool Playtime
Ages 5 and under

Cardio Kickboxing/Pilates
Wednesdays, 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Saturdays, 8:30-9:30 p.m.
Location: Bay Lodge (November-February)
Join Cathy for 30 minutes of high- and low-impact kickboxing and 30 minutes of pilates. Drop in to try it out for $7 (non-resident:$8) or register for a pass and attend up to 15 classes, good for any time or day.
Zumba Fitness
Tuesdays & Thursdays, 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Community Gym
Mondays & Wednesdays, 7-8 p.m. at Bay Way Cabin
Get in on the hottest new dance/aerobic workout! Purchase a pass and attend up to 15 classes, good for any time or day. 10-day passes are $55; 15-day passes are $82.50. Drop in rate is $7 (non-resident:$8).
Feeling Fit
M/W/F, 9-10 a.m.

Stay in shape with this year round class that will increase your energy level, help lower your body fat, tone your muscles and relieve stress. Drop in to try it out or register for a pass to attend up to 15 classes, good for any time or day. Make sure to bring a mat or towel and water!

Winter break will be here before you know it! If you’re looking for a way to keep the kids busy while they are off from school, try our drawing workshop. Beginners will learn the basics and advanced artists will develop new techniques. Projects will include fun holiday themes.

Need to release some winter break energy? Sign up for our Futsal clinic sessions in the Community Gym to keep up your soccer skills inside while it’s snowing outside. Build your soccer skills by learning control, touch and tricks with a special, small ball.

The Community Gym will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, but will reopen for extended hours on Friday, Nov. 25, from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
Attention members! Be sure to check when your membership expires so you can renew! We are also always welcoming new members. Bay Village residents or those employed in the city are eligible to join. Proof of residency or employment is required. Must be 13 years old to use equipment, ages 13-17 must be accompanied by an adult. Registrations must be done at the Recreation Department, 400 Bryson Lane, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
