Congressman Jim Renacci to visit Westlake Jan. 14

Congressman Jim Renacci

Congressional boundaries have changed significantly on the westside of Cleveland. Depending on where you live, you may have a new congressman. Due to declining population reported in the 2010 census, Ohio lost two Congressional seats requiring Ohio’s U.S. Congressional districts to be redrawn.

The new districts have now been set and most of the Westshore is primarily in the 16th U.S. Congressional District. The new 16th District added Fairview Park, Middleburg Heights, North Olmsted, North Royalton, Olmsted Falls, Olmsted Township, Parma Heights, Strongsville and Westlake, and parts of Berea, Parma, Rocky River.

The 16th District is represented by Congressman Jim Renacci. Congressman Renacci will visit the Westlake Recreation Center at 28955 Hilliard Blvd. on Saturday, Jan. 14, as the WestshoreRepublicanClubs.com host another joint event.

Registration is at 8:30 am and the program will run from 9-11 am. There is no charge for this event and Republican Club membership is not required. Congressman Renacci was first elected to Congress in 2010 and serves on many committees and caucuses. The WestShoreRepublicanClubs.com is made up of Republican Clubs throughout the Westshore community. For further information please contact Mark Boepple at 440-336-1734.
