Bay Village Board of Education welcomes new member

Dr. Robert Piccirilli joined the Bay Village Board of Education when he was sworn in as a new member on Monday, Jan. 9. Board member Bill Selong was also sworn in for his fourth term after winning the November 2011 election.

Dr. Gayatry Jacob-Mosier was elected by the Board as president, and Michael Caputo was elected vice president.

Dr. Robert Piccirilli, has served as Chairman of the Citizens Advisory Committee for the Bay Village Schools for two years. He has also coached cross country at Bay Middle School and St. Raphael's. Retired from PPG Industries, he holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry and a B.S. in Chemistry. He and his wife, Barb, have three children who are attending or have graduated from the Bay Village Schools.

The Board established 2012 meeting dates and committee assignments. Board members will spend the next several months reviewing a new plan for facilities upgrades in 2012 along with planning for a potential bond issue in November.
