Bay Middle School's Ann-Marie Young is MonSTAR Teacher of the Month
Bay Middle School teacher Ann-Marie Young was honored by her Culture Class and by the Lake Erie Monsters and PNC Bank. Pictured with her is the Monters' mascot, Sully, and Monsters representative Olivier Sedra.
Mrs. Ann-Marie Young was nominated by her culture class to be MonSTAR Teacher of the Month, a program sponsored by the Lake Erie Monsters and PNC Bank. The Monsters' mascot, the lovable Skully sea gull, paid a visit and the whole class got tickets to a hockey game.
Mrs. Young was nominated because her students say she goes above and beyond her duties, takes extra time to help students after school and makes a difference in their lives. Her strength, they say, is teaching about diversity.
In addition to Lake Erie Monsters representatives, Bay Village PNC Bank representatives Andrea Blevins and Vilma Stevenson were on hand to honor this favorite teacher.
