Splish splash! Time to register for swim lessons!

Peterson Pool at Clague Park

Registration for Peterson Pool Learn to Swim classes will be held Saturday, May 5, from 7:00 a.m. to noon for RESIDENTS ONLY! Residents may continue to register after that time. Non-resident registration begins Thursday, May 10, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Cost is $45 for residents, $65 for non-residents. There is a $10 discount when signing up a child for two swim lessons or two children at the same time. Registration will occur at the Westlake Recreation Center. Fishing Derby (Ages up to 12)

Saturday, May 12 (9 a.m.-noon): Enjoy a morning of fishing at the Westlake Recreation Center’s fishing pond. The Derby is open to kids 12 and younger. The pond is stocked with plenty of bass, channel catfish, crappie, trout and blue gill. Please bring your own equipment. Parent/guardian is required, however there is no cost for the parent. Bait and prizes will be provided but you must be registered to receive them. Cost is $10. Register at the Westlake Recreation Center.

Mother’s Day Swim Party

Friday, May 11 (6:30-8:30 p.m.): Celebrate with your mom, grandmother, godmother, etc. at our first ever Mother’s Day Swim Party. Light refreshments will also be served. Cost: $5/member couple, $8/resident couple.

Golf Lessons

Whether you need to practice and make some small adjustments to your game or don’t know the difference between a driver and an iron, the Westlake Recreation Department has a class for you. We offer beginners classes as well as our new fundamentals and fixes class. Classes are offered at various times of the week so check out our website at www.wlrec.org or one of our Rec Gazettes for more information.

Eric Flannery’s Shooting Camp (grades 3-8)

Need help with your shot? Come and learn from the best. St. Ed’s varsity coach Eric Flannery will be conducting a two-day shooting clinic at the Westlake Recreation Center, May 21 and 22, 6:30-7:30 p.m. Cost: $50/member, $55/resident, $60/non-resident.
