Girls on the Run is an organization for girls in grades 3 to 5 who like to run. There are groups all over America! There are sessions in the fall and spring. Each lasts 12 weeks.

This spring, some of my friends from Bay Village and I joined a group in Avon Lake. The meetings were super fun! We talked about being a good, positive person, and how bullying is not okay. Then we would train for our run.

All of the Cleveland-area girls on the run met in Akron for a special 5K on May 20. Over 500 girls ran, skipped and walked the 3.1 miles! It was fun to run on busy roads with no cars on them. At the end, we all got medals! I wish I could do it all over again!
