Area youth proclaim 'We are the Majority' at downtown rally

High school students from across the county met downtown on April 30 to raise awareness that the majority of youth do not use drugs or alcohol.

Westshore Young Leaders from Westlake, Rocky River and Lakewood high schools joined more than 100 other high school youth and leaders from Cuyahoga County at the “We are the Majority Rally” on Wednesday, April 30. The purpose of the rally was to raise awareness about the fact that the majority of youth make healthy choices and do not partake in the use of drugs and alcohol.

Students from across the county gathered at the Cleveland Public Library to participate in team-building activities and march to City Hall to listen to speakers including Nolan and Jaclyn Brandt of Robby’s Voice who inspired them to continue to make good choices.

The Westshore Young Leaders will continue their programming with the annual Leadership Conference this fall. For parent or youth membership information, call 440-250-9916.
