A group of Westlake High School students joined other area schools at the Beck Center for the Arts last month to learn how to create peaceful solutions through the arts.

The Peaceful Solutions program is a one-day workshop at the Beck Center in Lakewood that includes opportunities for students to write songs, play instruments, paint, mold with clay and learn how cultural arts can have a positive impact on their lives and society.

The WHS participants were Zac Duffield, Jillian Eddy, Abigail Sperli, Paola Del Rincon Martinez, Lori Unger, Haleigh Harper and David Wanhainen, Bayanne Farraj, Sydney Chatterton, Carolyn Bedell and Andrew Sperli.
