Lake Ridge Academy announces new soccer coach

Lake Ridge Academy has hired Tara Bowen as the new varsity girls soccer coach. Ms. Bowen is returning to Lake Ridge Academy after coaching the program from 2008 to 2012 when she led the team to the OHSAA Regional Semifinals and achieved a 40-22-7 winning record.

“I am very excited to be returning to Lake Ridge Academy to build a soccer culture that will benefit both our middle school and high school athletes,” stated Ms. Bowen. “I look forward to creating a positive and enriching environment for the girls to train, learn and grow as soccer players and student athletes.”

Most recently, Ms. Bowen was the head coach of the North Ridgeville High School girls varsity soccer program from 2012 to 2014. While attending Heidelberg College for her master’s degree, she was the school’s girls soccer assistant coach from 2006 to 2008 and played varsity soccer at John Carroll University.

Ms. Bowen is actively involved in other local soccer programs including the Force Soccer Academy and the North Ridgeville Amateur Soccer League.
