Bay Days fireworks fund offers Cavs tickets, boat club membership

The Bay Days fireworks fundraising committee is offering a chance to win a pair of tickets to 10 Cleveland Cavaliers games next season, in addition to this "swag bag" of Cavaliers goodies.

The Bay Days fireworks fundraising group, local citizens tasked with raising funds for the Bay Days fireworks celebration, which is now privately funded, is offering two great raffle prizes: a pair of excellent seats to 10 Cleveland Cavaliers games next season, or a year-long membership in the Freedom Boat Club, which offers unlimited use of powerboats docked in the Rocky River and at more than 75 other locations nationwide.

The group is also accepting monetary donations so that the Bay Days fourth of July celebration will not be a dud.

The Cavaliers package includes a great pair of tickets to 10 games next season, plus a "swag bag" of Cavaliers goodies, like a T-shirt, notebook, water bottle and more. The package is valued at more than $800. The deadline to purchase tickets is July 4.

The Freedom Boat Club package winner will have unlimited use of one of four boats docked at the Emerald Necklace Marina in Lakewood, as well as boats docked in Sandusky, Catawba, Port Clinton and more than 75 other locations nationwide. The winner also will get more than half off initiation fees the following year. The winner only pays for the fuel consumed, like a rental car. The value of this package is more than $8,000. Tickets for the boat club raffle may be purchased until the drawing at noon on May 25.

All the details, plus a PayPal button for cash donations, can be found on the group's website, www.bayfireworks.org.

All cash donations, which are handled by the Bay Village Foundation, are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
