Ortenzi will direct 'Trifles'

Lisa Ortenzi will direct Susan Glaspell's one-act play, "Trifles," for The Bay Village Community Theater's "All the World's A Stage[d Reading]" series.

Lisa Ortenzi, Great Lakes Theater's director of educational programming, will oversee the second offering in Bay Village Community Theater's "All the World's A Stage[d Reading]" series.

Susan Glaspell's one-act play, "Trifles," will be performed Sunday, July 10, at Mojo's on Dover Center Road. Loosely based on a 1916 murder, this "whydunit" is a suspenseful mystery that pits two farm women against the male sheriff and prosecutor as they all investigate the scene. Will justice be served? And whose version of justice will prevail?

Ortenzi served as the artistic director of the Baldwin Wallace University Triple Threat music theater program for the Conservatory outreach department. She has also served as the education director and artistic associate of the Cleveland Youth Theatre and directed for the Cleveland Public Theatre, Cleveland Shakespeare Festival, Baldwin Wallace University and a variety of community theaters and high school drama programs.

This staged reading series just requires you, the actors and the author's words in a cozy coffee shop. The free performances begin at 6 p.m.
