BAYarts will hold a sale of the Playhouse contents beginning with a members only reception on Wednesday, Aug. 9, 5-8 p.m., with concessions and libations. Board members will be on hand with information and to hear your ideas. If you are not a member, you may sign up online anytime at bayarts.net or at the door. Entry to the sale is free.

A public sale will follow on Aug. 10, 11 and 12, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. with controlled entry. Vaughnteriors, a liquidation firm, has organized and will run the sale with a percentage of the sales benefiting the renovation.

So what’s in there you ask? If you are interested in vintage/mod clothes and accessories, you’ve hit the jackpot! There are racks of dresses, coats, costumes, suits, hats and accessories. Plus tons of home goods, decorative items, nostalgia and trinkets. For do-it-yourself-ers there are tools and electrical accessories, both old and new. Theater technology such as sound and light equipment, wiring and lighting is waiting for the right person to carry it away. The “barn” to the east of the main entrance has furniture, doors, windows and building supplies.

Cash and carry only. Parking will be on the grass east of Vento. Sorry, no public restrooms.
