St. Paul Westlake will host Vacation Bible School

St. Paul Lutheran Church and School will host a free Vacation Bible School from 9 a.m. to noon, June 18-22. The theme for this year's VBS is "Shipwrecked – Rescued By Jesus."

"We'll offer a wide array of activities for children in a fun, welcoming atmosphere," said David Nelson, director of Family and Youth Ministry.

During VBS, children will participate in memorable Bible-learning activities, collect Bible Memory Buddies to remind them of God's love, sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, and learn to look for evidence of God all around them through unique God sightings.

Each day of the program will conclude with the "Sail Away Sendoff, which gets everyone involved in what they've learned.

Children in the VBS program will also join a mission effort to provide seeds for families in Haiti to grow food. The program is for pre-school students who are 3-years-old and potty trained to students who have just completed the fifth grade.

St. Paul Lutheran Church is located at 27993 Detroit Road.
