Only 4 percent of Boy Scouts worldwide attain the rank of Eagle Scout, and 18-year-old Drew Ware of Bay Village is one of them. The requirements necessary to achieve this rank take years to complete. Ware, a member of Troop 729 at Bay United Methodist Church, was awarded the honor by City Council President Dwight Clark at a recent ceremony.

Drew, who is the son of Julie and Steve Ware, built elevated garden beds and a picnic table to be used by people in wheelchairs at Our Lady of the Wayside as his Eagle Scout project. He plans to attend Cornell University in the fall.
