Westlake Music Festival is Aug. 11, 12

Celebrate summer and the Westlake community with a FREE weekend of music at the Westlake Music Festival! This family-friendly two-day event features live music, entertainment, fun and food trucks. Join us on Saturday, Aug. 11, 2-7 p.m., at Porter Public Library and on Sunday, Aug. 12, 2-8 p.m, at the Rec Center.

On Saturday, families can enjoy face painting, or buy some custom cookies from a Westlake bakery. On Sunday, family activities include inflatables, balloon clowns and a face painter. Popcorn will be available both days! The music lineup has something for everyone. Come hear our kids' musicians at 2 p.m. both days, and stay for dancing and fun for the rest of the afternoon!

Saturday's performers: Jesse's Jukebox, Kristine Jackson, The Screaming Armadillos, Thirteen Cadillacs, The Geezecats.

Sunday's performers: Laura Doherty and the Heartbeats, Francis Quinn, Hip to That, The Polka Pirates, Key West Express (final concert of the Summer Concerts in the Park series).
