Knickerbocker Thanksgiving
Members of the Bay United Methodist Church recently sponsored the annual Thanksgiving dinner for residents of the Knickerbocker Apartments in Bay Village. Church members prepare the food, set up the tables and serve the residents.
This event, which Bay United Methodist does as a tradition each year, includes turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, peas, cranberry sauce, rolls and pie. The turkeys are carved on site, led by Bay Village Mayor Paul Koomar. This year we also had the Bay Village City Council President, Dwight Clark, and his wife, Nancy, helping as well.
The dinner was preceded with an opening prayer by Jonathan McCleery, the minister at Bay United Methodist. The residents of the Knickerbocker are appreciative of this gathering and the members of Bay United Methodist are truly rewarded with the satisfaction of helping others.
