How quickly can Bay clean up a downed tree?

Quicker than I imagined! I love living in Bay Village. But today, I am grateful for living in Bay Village! On March 12, a large Silver Maple came crashing down, covering the corner of Northfield and Longbeach roads. Gratefully, no one was hurt.
Within minutes, Bay’s fire and police departments were on the scene roping off the area for safety. Minutes later, they had the electric company out to disconnect the wires. A few minutes after that, a hefty crew from the Service Department came and efficiently cleaned up every twig of debris.
Many times we take our city services for granted. In fact, many times we complain (myself included) about our services. But at times like this, I remember just how blessed I am to live in this city ... A city that provides such quality service.
