Take the Summer Library Challenge!

Westlake Porter Public Library’s annual Summer Library Challenge began June 1 and it’s going digital! This year, readers of all ages (birth-adults) can read and complete other activities on Beanstack, an online summer reading log and activity site.

Participants can have fun earning badges and raffle tickets for prizes, including the grand prize. Complete extra activities exclusively on Beanstack to earn extra raffle tickets! To register, visit westlakelibrary.beanstack.org/reader365. Set up your account and select the challenge that is right for you or your child. Parents can add all of their young readers to their account. Challenges are divided up by age group (Babies, Toddlers & Preschool, Elementary, Tweens & Teens and Adult), with different prizes and activities available for each group. For more details, visit westlakelibrary.org/summer.

Also part of the library’s summer reading activities are programs for all ages, S.T.E.A.M. Week (July 21-27) and the Friends of the Library’s annual Ice Cream Social on July 29. See the library’s online calendar of events at events.westlakelibrary.org/events.

The Summer Library Challenge continues until Aug. 1. Paper logs and materials are still available for those who prefer them – just stop by the library at 27333 Center Ridge Road to sign up.
