Westlake Rec stages at-home Easter egg hunt
Employees of the Westlake Recreation Department played Easter Bunny for local families on the eve of Good Friday, staging an At-Home Easter Egg Hunt for 100 households throughout the city. Employees distributed 20 eggs for children to find when they woke up the next morning.
The event was a welcome alternative for families who missed out on the egg hunts typically hosted by the Westlake Town Criers and other organizations this time of year.
The 100 households that participated in the egg hunt each have at least one person who is a member of the Westlake Recreation Center, all registered in advance and were informed of the event via the Recreation Department’s email news blast.
