Tuesday, May 19 (7-8 p.m.) Dogs of WPPL MeetUp – We can't wait to "meet" all the dogs of WPPL and see their special tricks and hear their stories! Participants must provide an email address to receive Zoom instructions, which will be sent the day of the program. Please register.

Wednesday, May 20 (noon-12:45 p.m.) Improve Your Mental Health Naturally – May is Mental Health Month. Join Dr. Casen DeMaria from the Drugless Doctors for this short and dynamic interactive Zoom session on tips to naturally improve your mental clarity. Please register and provide an email address. You will receive a confirmation email containing a Zoom link and instructions. 

Wednesday, May 20 (1-3 p.m.) Coping with Job/Career Loss or Change – Is this you: "I don't know what to do next? I did not see it coming!" Let's name "it" – downsizing, layoff, dismissed, fired or retired. And now the pandemic has made it worse! Feelings like denial anger, sadness and grief may occur. Accept your feelings and let's move forward! This presentation will be conducted on the Zoom platform. Registration is required so that a Zoom link and instructions can be emailed to you.

Wednesday, May 20 (7-8:15 p.m.) Kent State: The Lessons and the Legacy – Dr. Roseann "Chic" Canfora, eyewitness and survivor of the Kent State shooting in 1970, shares her personal experience on one of the darkest days in American history. This presentation will be conducted on the Zoom platform. Registration is required so that a Zoom link and instructions can be emailed to you.

Thursdays, May 21 and 28, and Tuesday, May 26 (11-11:30 a.m.) Storytime – Join us on our Facebook page for stories for babies, toddlers and preschoolers.

Sunday, May 24, and Monday, May 25 – Library Closed in observance of Memorial Day

Wednesday, May 27 (11-11:30 a.m.) Let’s Sing & Dance – Join Miss Nancy on Zoom! Registration required. Participants must provide an email address to receive Zoom instructions, which will be sent the day of the program.

Friday, May 29 (4-4:30 p.m.) Got Science? – In our first virtual meeting we will look at and discuss optical illusions. Afterward, you will make an optical illusion of your own. You’ll need an 8-1/2" x 11" piece of construction paper, 8-1/2" x 11" piece of white paper, scissors and markers. Grades 1 and 2. Registration required. Participants must provide an email address to receive Zoom instructions, which will be sent the day of the program.

Saturday, May 30 (11-11:30 a.m.) Pokemon Fun – Join Miss Rachel for our first virtual Pokemon Zoom meeting! We will play a "guess that Pokemon" game and have time for show and tell. Feel free to bring a favorite Pokemon card or toy for show and tell! Registration begins May 23. Participants must provide an email address to receive Zoom instructions, which will be sent the day of the program.

Saturday, May 30 (2-2:30 p.m.) Brick Builders – Join Miss Cathy on Zoom for our first virtual Brick Builders program! Please register. Participants must provide an email address to receive Zoom instructions, which will be sent the day of the program.

Thursday, June 4 (7-8 p.m.) Walking the Path of Dementia: Online Health Talk – Join us online for an interactive presentation offering a look into the emotional and physical disabilities of dementia with tips on how to provide support and care to people with the disease. This program is presented by Arden Courts of Westlake. Please register. Participants must provide an email address to receive a confirmation email containing Zoom instructions.

Tuesday, June 9 (7-8:30 p.m.) Tuesday Evening Book Discussion (Online) – Join us for an online discussion of the book "Writers and Lovers" by Lily King. If you can’t get a hard copy of the book it is available from Hoopla through the library’s website. To participate, please register with an email address to get an invitation to the online book discussion on Zoom. You can join using a desktop, laptop, mobile phone, tablet or Chromebook. While it is not necessary to sign up for a free Zoom account, for best results we recommend downloading the Zoom Meeting Room Client (for desktops and laptops) or the Zoom Cloud Meetings App (from your phone or tablet app store) before our discussion. Downloading should take a few minutes. Participants without a computer, tablet or smartphone can join the discussion using a traditional phone.

Wednesday, June 10 (7-8 p.m.) Virtual Trivia Night @ Porter – Join us for Virtual Trivia Night presented live via Zoom! For teens and adults. Play as a single player or as a family. To participate, please register with an email address to get an invitation to the event on Zoom.
