NOURISH event is a smashing success

A crowd of 400 people enjoyed two levels of food, raffle, auctions and music at Village Project's NOURISH fundraiser on the Hyland campus.

The Village Project received welcome sustenance from their second annual NOURISH fundraiser.

On Feb. 25, 400 guests filled Hyland’s Building 3 in Westlake to enjoy delicious food, dance along to music from The Feedbacks, and get a chance to win many tempting raffle and auction items, including a grand prize of $3,000 toward a vacation of their choice.

Over $70,000 was raised to advance Village Project’s mission of providing meals and sustaining services to families experiencing cancer in Bay Village, Westlake, Avon Lake and Rocky River. Village Project’s immediate goal is to care for even more families by expanding their service area to the city of Avon. The funds raised will go a long way to making this possible.

Barb Harrell, executive director of Village Project, was thankful for the enthusiastic turnout, generous sponsors, volunteer help, party space and wonderful food.

“There are a ton of folks to thank who donated their services to help us attain this phenomenal result," Harrell said. "We are extraordinarily grateful to Hyland, creator of OnBase for hosting this event, Marigold Catering for providing the food, furnishings and coordination, Sibling Revelry for supplying beverages, The Feedbacks for filling the event with awesome music, Thibo Productions for creating video and providing sound and lighting, Brian Fowler for being a fabulous emcee, Rock The House for donating lighting, Community West Foundation for their ongoing generous support and our many incredible volunteers who put in endless hours of work and care.”

Next up for Village Project is the fourth annual Project Pedal on June 17. Look for more details coming soon. If you are interested in further information about Village Project, visit ourvillageproject.com or call 440-348-9401.
